The general superior has the highest authority within our congregation in order to promote the vitality of apostolic life of all provinces, local communities and sisters (Constitution 64).

Sharing leadership with the general superior are four general councillors. They serve as consultants to the general superior and collaborate with her in serving our entire congregation. (Constitution 65)

The general secretary has the following overall responsibilities: to assist the general superior and council in correspondence and communications concerning the government of the congregation, to serve as secretary for meetings of the general council, and to supervise the general archives of the congregation. (Constitution 67)

The general treasurer is responsible for the administration of the property and financial affairs of our congregation at the general level, under the direction of the general superior, in accord with Church and civil law and congregation norms (Constitution 68).

Structure

  • Continental Areas
  • Regions
  • Districts
  • Foundations
  • Missions

Each Continental Area promotes the collaboration of Adorers within the same continental Area. (2011 General Assembly Acts)

The foundations become regions when they meet the following criteria:
A Governance Plan with an Administration Team;
An Initial and ongoing Formation Plan with a proven growth in vocations;
Sufficient economic resources to provide for their own ordinary needs; a plan to move toward financial autonomy, and the ability to manage possessions/goods;
A sufficient number of local members to support the vitality of the charism, leadership, formation and mission, evaluated in discernment with the General Superior and Council.
(2005 General Assembly Acts)

A District is a vital ASC entity intending to become a Region.  It is fully inserted in the context of the Continental Area and depends upon a Region of the Continental Area. (2011General Assembly Acts)

A Foundation is a group of Adorers living in a geographic area different from the Region of origin and having the intent to become a District. (2011 General Assembly Acts)

A mission is made up of ASC communities who live in a place of special need that is distant from the geographical area of the Region. (2011 General Assembly Acts)
