Any woman called to be an Adorer is aware that “Christ Jesus, who has brought us together as adorers of his saving blood, is the radiant center of our life in community.” (Life Charter, n. 6) Adorers seek “to live together as sisters and friends, loving each other as Christ has loved us.” (Life Charter, n. 7)
Adorers live together in community for the sake of mission. We listen to the Word of God and to the words of each other to discern the Will of God for us and shape our common direction together. As the quality of our presence to each other becomes more loving, we support one another in responding to the call of the Gospel to be ambassadors of reconciliation to each other and to all in the world.
Living in community means that we give priority to the values of “mutual respect, life sharing, reconciliation and forgiving each other with patient love.” (Life Charter, n. 8) As in any family, we know that there is the bond of love and communion but there are also the times of difficult because of differences. These situations call us to listen with our hearts, to respect the differences, to stay in communication. “As paschal women we learn to celebrate the mystery of our call to give life to one another through our own daily dying and rising.” (Life Charter, n. 24).
Our Constitution asks us to “never forget that our love for one another in community is itself a primary apostolic witness.” (Life Charter, n. 9). |
